Hi I’m Bill! I’m an artist, entrepreneur and a lifelong learner. For all but the first 3 years of my life, I have been involved in at least 2 of those three and it was only 10 years into my life when I added the third – being an artist.

I started my first business at the age of 4. When, and if, you and I have a personal conversation, I’ll fill you in on that. I’ve been an entrepreneurial, “make your own path”, kind of guy ever since. I never seemed to “fit in” with the crowd. It’s not that I don’t like people, because I do, it’s just that I tend to think different and have a need to be creative. Along those lines, I discovered at an early age that I was allergic to jobs and bosses.
My artistic side began to show itself when I was 10 when I traded my piano lessons for a drum set and drum lessons. By 13, I was professional and had found my “purpose” in life. By 16, I was traveling on the road, playing all the best places with famous people.
Life can and usually does throw you a curve ball; mine arrived at 20. I had a car accident and doctors told me I’d never play again. While traveling, I had picked up the hobby of photography. So, naturally, I opened my own studio and became my hometown’s newspaper photographer. It was a success.
About a year later, the doctor suggested I try to play drums again. I did, I could, and I immediately returned to performing on the road.
Many years ago, I became associated with a group of extremely successful business and cultural leaders. Even though I’ve always had an instinctive drive for excellence, they have taught me how to focus that drive along with developing and applying wisdom to everything I do. This quickly became a lifelong obsession and priority.
The photography bug hit again in early 2014. I needed a new challenge, a mountain to climb, as I had already conquered my musical mountain. I jumped in with both feet and strong conviction. This new endeavor gives me the opportunity learn, and strive for excellence in an area that has no “top end”. It is a continual never ending quest.
I now have two separate image creating brands; “Photos Limited” and “Portrait Art Limited”. My brand, “Photos Limited”, is the one that drives this blog.
I am so excited about this new adventure, “Tips and Kicks”. Here I can combine all my life’s experiences and passions into one location and share them with you. I can share the excellent, the fun, and the unique. I’ll even throw in some “just because” quirky stuff . . . because I can.
I ask that you bear with me as writing is not one of my strengths. I’ll work on it.
